Privacy Policy

StarSpark

StarSpark is played in many countries, and privacy law differs across them. This policy therefore sets out the general practice that applies everywhere, followed by the additional terms that apply if you play from a particular region. Read the general part first, then the part matching where you live.

General Practice

1. No Account, No Identity

StarSpark is played without registration. No name, email address, telephone number, postal address, or social login is requested at any point, and the game holds no credential by which you could be identified as an individual. What exists instead is a record tied to an installation of the app.

2. The Installation Record

The installation record consists of star totals and cleared constellations, attempt counts and completion times, unlocked cosmetics, the balance of any in-game currency, and the settings you have selected. Alongside it, the app reads technical attributes of the handset — model, operating system release, application build, screen geometry, memory class, system language, region code, and network type — so that the game can configure itself for the hardware in front of it.

3. Diagnostics

An unexpected termination produces a diagnostic record: the point of failure, the preceding call sequence, memory in use, and a timestamp. Diagnostic records are examined solely to repair defects and are cleared once the associated defect is closed.

4. Voluntary Correspondence

If you write to support, we receive your message, your return address, and any attachment you include. This material is used to resolve your enquiry and is cleared once resolved.

5. Purposes and Legal Bases

Where a legal-basis framework applies to you, the following mapping governs our processing:

  • Saving progress and delivering purchased content — necessary to perform the contract formed when you install and play the game.
  • Configuring rendering and performance for your hardware — legitimate interest in supplying a functioning product.
  • Diagnosing crashes and preventing recurrence — legitimate interest in product quality and stability.
  • Detecting modified clients, forged receipts, and falsified scores — legitimate interest in the integrity and security of the game.
  • Retaining transaction records — compliance with accounting and tax obligations.
  • Analytics and personalised advertising, where offered — consent, requested separately and withdrawable at any time.

6. Recipients

Independent providers handle analytics, crash monitoring, advertising delivery, and store distribution. Each is instructed in writing, receives only the fields its function requires, and publishes its own privacy terms. We do not sell information about players and do not share it with data brokers.

7. Payments

Optional content is purchased through the marketplace that supplied StarSpark. Payment credentials are submitted to that marketplace and are never received by us. We are given only a confirmation and a receipt reference, sufficient to deliver the item and to review a refund enquiry.

8. Security, Retention, and Transfers

Traffic to our systems is encrypted in transit; stored records sit behind role-based access limited to those who need it. Retention is limited to the purpose that justified collection, as described in the sections above. Our systems and those of our providers may be located outside your country, and where information crosses a border we rely on the transfer safeguards recognised by the framework applicable to you. No connected system can be described as entirely secure.

9. Children

StarSpark is directed at a general audience and not at children under thirteen — or under the higher age set by your local law, where one applies. Personal information is not knowingly collected from such children, and any that reaches us is removed once identified. Guardians who wish to raise such a concern should use the official support channels.

Regional Terms

10. European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, or object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it, which affects future processing but not what was lawfully done before withdrawal. You may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. Requests should be sent through official support with the installation identifier shown in the settings screen, since that identifier is the only means by which your record can be found.

11. California and Comparable United States Frameworks

You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of information collected in the preceding twelve months, request deletion, request correction, and be free from discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights. StarSpark does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising within the meaning of those frameworks. An authorised agent may act for you where the framework allows, on satisfactory evidence of authority.

12. Brazil, Japan, South Korea, and Other Jurisdictions

Where local law grants rights comparable to those above, we apply them on the same terms. Where local law requires disclosures beyond this document, those disclosures are made through the same official channels on which this policy is published.

13. Revisions

This policy is revised when the game changes, when a provider changes, or when a legal framework changes. The revised text takes effect on publication through our official channels and replaces the previous text.

14. Contact

To make a request or ask a question about this policy, contact the StarSpark support team through the official support channels.
